Hydropower generation dramatically down along Colorado River

As communities across the west pivot away from coal-generated electrical power, they likely will not be able to rely on hydropower.

Electricity generated from dams along theUpper Colorado River system was down 20% year over year and down 30% from the yearly average since the turn of the century. The Colorado Sun reported that the outlook is more of the same, or less.
