Ground broken for low-income housing project

GREELEY — Archdiocesan Housing Inc. has broken ground on a new low-income housing facility that will be called Immaculata Plaza Apartments.

Immaculata Plaza is a collaboration between Archdiocesan Housing Inc., Medici Construction Management Inc., Kephart Architects Inc. and Alliance Construction Solutions LLC. The project, located just west of Eighth Street in Greeley, includes the construction of a three-story, 24,600-square-foot building that will provide 30 new senior living affordable housing apartments. The project will also include the renovation of 25 existing senior living apartments in the neighboring building, according to a press statement.

“Alliance is grateful to partner with Archdiocesan Housing, Medici Consulting Group, Kephart Architects and all of our subcontractor partners to bring much needed senior affordable housing to the Greeley  community,” Jeremy Nothdurft, chief operating officer for Alliance, said in a written statement. “We’re excited to bring our expertise in affordable housing construction to Immaculata Plaza to help ensure this senior community has a safe, affordable place to call home.”

Immaculata Plaza is expected to be completed Summer 2023.
