Four regional companies recognized for hiring military veterans

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Labor has recognized 835 employers — including four from the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado — for their efforts to hire and retain military veterans.

The awards, Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans, are presented annually since 2018 to employers who meet the criteria for the only federal-level veterans’ employment award.

“The U.S. Department of Labor appreciates the commitment shown by the recipients of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award to employing, retaining and supporting our nation’s veterans,” Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh said during the recognition ceremony held Wednesday. “By putting the unique skills and talents of our veterans to work, these employers strengthen their companies and ensure that our nation’s economy continues to grow.”
