Ball Aerospace promotes Fitzgerald to VP of finance

BROOMFIELD — Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. has selected Aidan Fitzgerald to serve as its vice president of finance, effective Feb. 3.

On that date, Alison Medbery will retire after 27 years of service. Fitzgerald will be located at Ball Aerospace headquarters in Broomfield. Ball Aerospace is a division of Ball Corp. (NYSE: BALL)

Fitzgerald will lead all financial-related and contractual activities for Ball Aerospace, including overseeing budgets, leading financial planning and analysis, providing financial guidance and making recommendations for the company’s long-term financial profitability, according to a press statement from the company.

“Aidan brings extensive knowledge of the industry and a strong background in financial operations and strategy to his new role,” David Kaufman, president of Ball Aerospace, said in a written statement. “As a leader, he places an importance in fostering engagement to provide an inclusive environment and empowering the team — values that align with our Ball Aerospace culture.”

Fitzgerald has held several roles at Raytheon Technologies Corp. (NYSE: RTX) and McKinsey & Co. and was most recently the vice president of finance at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), where he led finances for SAIC’s National Security and Space Sector.
